Q Why did you set up Naturally Kids?
A We set up Naturally Kids in early 2008. We (Alison Kane and Susan Smith) felt there was a need for a modeling agency with a difference: to capture models in natural environments rather than in the traditional studio environment! We thought this was the best way to capture children, getting more natural results in more natural environments.

Q Why the name Naturally Kids?
A The name flowed naturally from the concept!top

Q Why should I choose your agency for my child?
A We're both ordinary mums with 6 kids between us, who range in age from 3 to 16, so we understand how precious children are. We both gave up our careers to be full-time mums, and now feel it's time to put our experience to better use. We commit ourselves totally to providing your child with an equal opportunity, and a secure and happy environment on all bookings.

Q How do I know you can be trusted?
A Within the modeling industry, no certificate or license is required to set up an agency, and, therefore, anybody can set up an agency; where children are concerned, we think this is particularly worrying. There are people campaigning for change, which we feel would benefit, firstly, the children, and secondly, the children's parents and modelling agencies. Our photographer, Paul, has been CRB checked, and we have licenses to chaperone the children if required.

Q On joining Naturally Kids can you guarantee my child work?
A Sorry, but we cannot guarantee your child work - we don't actually think there's an agency out there that can. It's impossible to say if your child will get work, as the decision for which child is hired for each job rests with the clilent.

Q How will I know if my child would make a great model?
A Everybody thinks their child is beautiful, and to be honest, every child is - that's why we'll give every child a fair chance! If your child is happy to meet new people, and has confidence, then, yes, modeling will be for them.

Q Can you tell me how many jobs I can expect in a year?
A This is an impossible question to answer, as each models' workload depends on many different factors. Some models "hit it off" quicker than others, securing work from every audition they attend; others take a little longer to warm up, and yet once they do, there is sometimes no stopping them! A great deal depends on the look and age group the client requires for the job. But always remember, the biggest "stars" are usually just normal kids, having fun, enjoying themselves.

Q Is there a registration fee to join your agency?
A There is a registration fee to cover the cost of administration and photographs. However, in order to make this as affordable as possible, we are able to offer stepped reductions for parents who want to register more than one of their children. The price for registering one child is £115, for 2 children £150, for 3 children £190, and for 4 children £220. If you wish to register more than 4 children, please contact us for a price.

Q Who is your photographer?
A Paul Tait is our photographer. I'm sure that after looking at his photographs on our site, you'll agree that he has a special talent. (If any parent wishes to purchase any pictures of their child at anytime, then they can do so through Paul's website.) In addition, he has a great way with kids.

Q How will I know when a client is interested in me?
A We will contact you by telephone to provide you with the details of your booking. Please note, we will contact you only when we have a definite booking for you. We consider it a waste of everybody's time if we were to contact you each time a client expressed an interest or during the client negotiation stage.

Q Do you charge an assessment or interview fee?
A No. We are regulated by the DTI and do not charge a fee for assessments, interviews or consultations.

Q How much of the hourly fee will my child receive?
A Our fees are open for everyone to see - they are included on this website. As an agent for your child, we will return as much to your child as possible. Our fees are 25% of each booking, with the remaining 75% going to yourself. All personal taxation issues must be dealt with by you; Naturally Kids cannot be held responsible for any personal tax burden you encounter at a later date.
